Summary of APLF 2010
Hong Kong APLF held two fairs. 1,007 companies from 48 countries participated in MM&T (Materials, Manufacturing & Technology), and 656 companies from 22 countries participated in Fashion Access.
During the three days of APLF from March 29th to 31st, more than 30,000 buyers came to the site. Numbers of visitors were up 6% from the previous year at MM&T, and up 9% from the previous year at Fashion Access where Japan Pavilion was in. The crowded site seemed like a bright sign for the world economy.
Japan Pavilion set up by JLIA was comprised 22 companies from eight domestic associations. It was the third time for JLIA to participate in Fashion Access in APLF.
This black-themed booth projected the image of the quality and cultural tradition of the products made in Japan as an Asia's fashion center, and drew the attention of many buyers.
Japan Pavilion received 2,461 visitors during the three days of the fair, which greatly increased from last year. Buyers showed interest especially in the quality and design aesthetics of Japanese products, and active business talks also often took place.
